Why is this course different?

This course is delivered on a one to one basis and sometimes in a small group (of two or three people). This means that the content and the structure of the course can be finely tuned to meet the learning needs of the student/s.

In a one to one situation each session includes theoretical teaching, practical interpreting/translation work, practical English exercises and approaches to ethical frameworks. Each session will also include dedicated feedback on homework from the previous session. In small groups settings the homework feedback is given on a one to one basis following the sessions.

The homework tasks are set through the year with increasing difficulty to allow students to develop their skills and grow in confidence. Learning from the preceding month can be implemented in the following month’s homework so the student can demonstrate increasing competence.

Students can request specific areas of learning and the curriculum can be adapted accordingly.
